I am a consultant psychiatrist and neuropsychiatrist with extensive experience in assessing and treating a variety of common and complex psychiatric conditions across all age groups, including adolescence. My caseload ranges from affective disorders (such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD) to psychotic illnesses and ADHD assessments.
In addition to my general practice, I have a special interest clinic where I assess and treat patients with neuropsychiatric disorders, including neurodegenerative conditions and patients with brain injuries. I also provide care for patients who have psychiatric disorders co-existing with physical health issues.
Being bilingual and fluent in both English and Arabic allows me to communicate effectively with a wide range of patients and their families. I am dedicated to mental health and have actively participated in fundraising for Mind and mental health research UK, including running the London Marathon in 2015.
Overall, my goal is to provide compassionate care and effective treatment to all my patients, ensuring that their mental health and well-being are prioritised.
The context of each patient's life is of a prime importance. Our psychotherapy is a humanistic, holistic, person-centred approach, which is focused on the patient's challenges. The therapy plan is never a one size fits all. Following assessment, the proposed therapy plan will be discussed with the patient and the most appropriate psychotherapy models will be tailored to their needs to formulate an open, integrative form of psychotherapy that adapts to their unique needs, depending on their challenges, their goals, their expectations and their aspirations.
Our therapeutic approach is recovery focused. The treatment focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
